If you're looking for some good Thai food in South Jersey, you don't have to look very far. There's a small hidden gem in the town of Voorhees, NJ called Somsak Thai Cuisine. It's located in the middle of White Horse Road between Evesham Road and White Horse Pike. I'm not giving you too much detail since it is a "hidden gem." So, you'll need to Google it for the location or just look at the attached menu.
Last Friday night, I've finally decided to dine at this restaurant after ignoring it for 3 years. I've read the reviews for this restaurant a while back and most were positive. Most people like this place more than Bangkok City (located in Eagle Plaza) a few blocks away. Well, I totally agree with them after my experience at both restaurants.
The service was fantastic at Somsak. The ladies who worked there spoke very good English and were very friendly unlike the servers at Bangkok City. The foods arrived very quickly, too.
For appetizers, we ordered two orders of Thai spring rolls. They were delicious. For our entrees, we ordered chicken pad Thai and pad see-ewe. Both were pretty good also. However, I wished that they made the pad Thai spicy. Then again, I didn't ask them to make it spicy...
Overall, this is a good place to take your friends and family to eat. I'm giving this restaurant a 8 out of 10 dragons for their speedy and friendly service.
