Genuardi's has been my supermarket of choice ever since I've moved to South Jersey. I've never been inside a store, let alone a supermarket, where everyone who works there seems to actually care to do their job really well. Let me tell you about my experience...

When I first walk into the store, I was greeted by one of the employees, each time, at the produce section. They will always ask me if I needed any help. Of course, I would always say no every time they asked. That didn't just stop there (at the produce section) either. They would ask me that same question through out my journey around the store.

Not only do Genuardi's have good customer service, but they also have good prices on a lot of items in the store. I always stock up on Trail Mix Chewy bars every time I go there. They're one of the few stores that have the value pack which is a saving!

At checkout, they always greet you with a smile and try to have a genuine conversation with you. I've seen the cashier taking her time to looking for coupons in the weekly ad and use it on a customer ahead of me before. Like I said before, they really have good customer service at Genuardi's. After they've bagged my grocery, they would ask me if I needed help to carry them to the car. It would be a jerk for me to say yes, so I always say no.

Two weeks ago was my last time going to the Voorhees store. Why? Well, corporate office (Safeway) decided to close down the store on March 13th. I sent them a letter asking them why. And, here's their response:

Dear Tre H.,

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding Genuardi’s.

Genuardi’s had to make the tough decision to close some of our stores that were not doing well so that we can focus our attention on stores that are stronger. These stores will close on Saturday, March 13th.  We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.  The closures of these stores will make Genuardi’s healthier and allow the company to focus on growing the business and bringing you new products and services.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.  Your feedback in important and will be forwarded to our Public Affairs Department for further review.
